I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
